A Berlin KPM porcelain vase with views of Potsdam Palace

Model no. 1617. Fired in two parts and screw-mounted. Painted with labelled views of the Neue Palais in Potsdam and Charlottenhof in Potsdam in angular reserves. A restored breakage to the collar. H 54.3 cm.
1841 – 1844, the decoration presumably painted by a manufactory employee after hours after paintings by Carl Daniel Freydanck.

Both paintings by Freydanck are housed in the KPM archive in Charlottenburg Palace, inv. no. 158 and 69 (see cat. Carl Daniel Freydanck 1811 - 1887 Ein Vedutenmaler der Königlichen Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin KPM, Berlin 1987, no. 32 and 35).
