Black patinated cast iron. With a Neoclassical relief frieze in a moulded surround. H 4.9, W 30.9 cm.
After motifs by Bertel Thorvaldsen and an engraving by Francesco Garzoli, after 1829.

Francesco Garzoli's cycle of engravings “Il Trionfo di Alessandro” was carried out in 1829 after motifs by Bertel Thorvaldsen. This lot includes a framed example of Garzoli's engraving, no. 25.
