An early Hachmann mortar with dog and rabbit motifs

Silver-gold cast bronze with natural patina. The display side decorated with a vacant coat-of-arms supported by winged demi-figures. With two wide banderoles below the rim and above the base inscribed in Gothic minuscule: "int iaer ons heren m vc lxv” and “myn hape steit allein in godt". The handles formed as double-headed dragons. Minor abrasions throughout, the display side with some reddish discolouration in areas. H 14.3, D 14.1 cm, weight c. 4.1 kg.
