A later Hachmann mortar inscribed “IN DEO SPES MEA”

Golden brown cast bronze with uneven brown patina. The display side decorated with a vacant coat-of-arms supported by winged demi-figures. With two wide banderoles below the rim and above the base inscribed in Gothic minuscule and Latin capital letters: “int iaer ons heren m vc lxxxiii” and “IN DEO SPES MEA”. The handles formed as dolphins. H 13, D 14 cm, weight c. 3.5 kg. Includes a later iron pestle with a node and number 5 in relief. L 22.5 cm.
