A dated Hachmann mortar

Golden brown cast bronze with natural patina. The display side decorated with a vacant coat-of-arms supported by winged demi-figures. With two wide banderoles below the rim and above the base inscribed in Gothic minuscule: “int iaer ons heren m vc lxxvi” and “myn hape steit allein in godt”. With two zoomorphic handles. Minor dents throughout. H 13, D 14.3 cm, weight c. 3.8 kg.
