A later Hachmann mortar with an inscription

Golden brown cast bronze with honey coloured natural patina. The display side decorated with a vacant coat-of-arms supported by winged demi-figures. With two wide banderoles below the rim and above the base inscribed in Gothic minuscule and Latin capital letters: “int iaer ons heren m vc lxxx4” and “IN DEO SPES MEA”. The handles formed as double-headed dragons. Minor dents around the rim. H 14.5, D 15 cm, weight c. 3.5 kg.
