A Meissen porcelain pagode with a parrot

Depicted sitting and holding a fan in one hand and a parrot perched on the other. With finely rendered facial features, the garments with “indianishe blumen” and purple linings. Unglazed, unmarked base. The parrot and some chips to the hat brim and tip of the foot restored. H 18 cm.
Model by Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1761, produced soon after.
