A Meissen porcelain ecuelle and stand with merchant scenes

Round tureen with original stand. Decorated with finely painted merchant navy, landscape, and winter scenes in quatrefoil reserves. Blue crossed swords mark, pressnummer 16 (to the stand). The gilding and ground of the plate retouched, one handle restored, a reattached and retouched breakage to the edge of the lid. H 12.6, stand D 23.2 cm.
