Probably Maasland 1st half 13th century
A bronze Corpus Christi, presumably Maasland, first half 13th century
Engraved cast bronze with minimal remains of former gilding. A depiction of Christ with His head upright, His arms spread horizontally to the sides, His legs parallel and His feet resting on a subpedaneum. The figure's nudity is concealed by a perizonium knotted in the centre.
Abrasions. Mounted on a velvet covered panel. Height 17 cm. Width of arms 14.5 cm.
