A bronze Corpus Christi, presumably Maasland, first half 13th century
The reverse hollowed out, engraved bronze with older patina. Depiction of Christ crucified with three nails and His arms stretched out horizontally. Despite the fragmentary condition of the piece, its fine quality is still evident to this day, especially in the detailed rendering of the perizonium and the engraving.
Head, hands, and feet missing. Abrasions throughout. Height 12.5 cm.
