A partially gilt Swedish silver tankard

Slightly tapering vessel on three spherical supports. Decorated with regencé relief, engraved with the monograms "M. O. G." and "E.R." in a cartouche and dated 1746. The lid inset with a medallion by Anton Meybusch commemorating Karl XI's victory in the battle of Lund, Karlskrona 1676/77. Unmarked. H 20.5 cm, weight 1,212 g.
Presumably Göteburg or the surrounding area, 2nd quarter 18th C.
