A Meissen porcelain cup with the bound Aglaia and saucer with Jupiter and Io

The cup painted with a depiction of Cupid bound to a tree by Aglaia based on a motif by Angelica Kauffmann, the well of the saucer with Jupiter seducing Io. Both depictions monogrammed IHCOM below. Blue crossed swords mark with star, 4 and II. The finial restored, a minor restored chip to the edge of the lid. H with lid 9, D of saucer 13.5 cm.
Circa 1790 – 1800.
