A boxwood netsuke of a thin footless ghost. Second half 19th century

With long straggly hair, the open robe revealing the emanciated chest, the seam turned upward forming a loop functioning as himotôshi. Signed Nanmusai tô.
Height 7.9 cm

Nanmusai carved this subject several times.
