A Meissen porcelain sugar box with a merchant navy scene

Round lid with a gilded branch finial, finely painted floral appliques and two small landscapes. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's mark presumably that of Johann Friedrich Schuberth jr. or Johann Caspar Meißner, 52. in gold (box and lid). Minor chips to the floral appliques, a small filled chip to the edge of the lid, minimal wear to the gilding. H 11.5, D 11.1 cm.
