A Meissen porcelain mandarin duck by Max Esser

Inscribed "M. Esser.1923" in black to the back of the plinth, blue crossed swords mark, incised model no. G 259, 69 in iron red. Restored chips to the right side of the comb, the tip of the tail, two claws and the leaf tips. H 37.3 cm.
