A Meissen porcelain plate with a bird-on-branch motif

Blue crossed swords mark. Restored rim chips, the entire border restored (yellowed). D 22.2 cm.

Julia Weber published the almost identically decorated dinner plates from a service of Sulkowski-Ozier model from the Ernst Schneider Foundation in 2013. Due to differences in the decoration - the Oriental flower sprigs around the border being particularly noticeable - this example is thought to be of an earlier date.
