A rare Meissen porcelain coffee "barrel", cup and saucer with gold ground

Small pumpkin-shaped barrel in tripod rocaille supports entwined with flowering sprig reliefs. The original lid with floral finial. Gilt copper mountings around the rim of the lid and vessel and a spout below with a hound's head motif. Blue crossed swords mark, cup and saucer with dreher's nos. 63 and 66. Restored breakages to the vessel and lid, the handle of the cup reattached, a restored rim chip. H barrel 16.5 cm.
