A four-case inrō. 18th/19th century

Displaying a pair of stirrups on one side and four parts of a saddle (pommel, cantle and the two contoured side bands) in takamakie, hiramakie, a little red lacquer and inlays of mother-of-pearl on cloud nashiji. Nashiji and fundame to the inside. Signed Higashiyama dono jidai Dōhō makie zu / Kanko Kajikawa Bunryūsai utsusu kore und kaō. The second compartment from the bottom, does not open, mother-of-pearl inlay missing.
