A small inlaid wood manjū netsuke. Tokyo. Late 19th century

Inlaid with light and dark wood carved with a flying bat renderd in frontal view and inlaid in gold with a thin crescent moon , which is hardly visible because it runs along the curve of the upper part of the manjū. Signed with two inlaid seals: Bairyū in silver and Tōkoku in red. Tiny crack to the left wing.
