A Berlin KPM porcelain cup and saucer with putti behind bars

Model no. 1372. The cup painted with amoretti behind golden bars in five black grounded reserves, with a further motif to the saucer, against a gold ground etched to resemble a brick wall. Blue sceptre mark with blue enamel dash, iron red painter's mark. H cup 9.6, D saucer 15.2 cm.
Around 1805 - 10.

The motif of this cup, Cupids behind bars, was produced at the same time by KPM Berlin and the Imperial Vienna Porcelain Manufactory.
