Black pen and ink drawing over pencil on cream-coloured ribbed laid paper with watermark "[...] NTIQUE" 33 x 23.4 cm, framed under glass. Signed, inscribed and dated Beckmann A. 44 upper right in black ink in Sütterlin script. - The sheet with weak folds in left corners, 2 margins narrowly browned, 1 margin slightly torn irregularly .

The authenticity has been confirmed by Christian Lenz, Max Beckmann Archive Munich, Mayen Beckmann and Siegfried Gohr after presentation of the original, not by Stefan von Wiese.
