A Mechelen alabaster relief of the Last Supper, circa 1600

With remains of presumably original gilding. Finely carved high-relief depicting Christ enthroned beneath a canopy flanked by Saint John, Saint Peter, and the remaining Apostles grouped around the table of the last supper, with Judas passing the bread. A maker's mark and the monogram "TT" to the centre of the lower margin.
Numerous hairline cracks, especially to the lower edge. In a carved wooden frame with putti and grotesques, presumably of the period. 17.5 x 14 cm (without frame), 35.5 x 31.5 cm (with frame).
