A large and important one-handled mortar with a rabbit hunt frieze
Cast bronze, dark brown patina with golden shimmer. Three column ribs with Gothic capitals surround the body. Cast with finely modelled bearded mascarons and pad feet. An additional pad foot beneath the facetted angular handle. The broad rim cast with a fine relief of a dog chasing a rabbit. H 23.9, D 22.5 cm. Weight 11.5 kg.
