A signed and dated Parisian cartel clock

Ormolu clock with glazed white enamel dial and replaced textile lining. Rectangular pendulum movement converted to anchor escapement with spring suspension of the pendulum, 14-day running movement with half-hourly striking on a gong. Marked in capital letters on the dial “CH DESAULLE FECIT 1775 A PARIS”, and engraved on the plate “Ch Desaulle fecit 1775 a paris”. The faun's head finial later, the grille above the pendulum aperture erroneously replaced, a restoration to the right winding hole. H 67 cm.
