The reverse hollow cast, engraved bronze with remnants of gilding. A depiction of the crucified Christ with raised arms, feet crossed beneath a single nail, and head leaning slightly to one side. The sculptural quality of the bronze is evident throughout in the depiction of the figure's flesh and the drapery of the perizonium, but especially in the rendering of the facial features and the finely chased details of the hair.
