A Meissen porcelain cup and saucer with mythological scenes

The cup painted with a depiction of Diana and a nymph, the saucer with Juno amid clouds and Cupid with his arrows. Blue crossed swords mark with star and 4. H of cup 6.3, D of saucer 13.5 cm.
Circa 1790 - 1800.

The depiction on this cup is based on an illustration by Noël Lemire after Charles Dominique Joseph Eisen from Abbé Banier's translation of Ovid's Metamorphoses, published in 1769-71 in Paris.
