Two small French Renaissance mortars

Golden brown cast bronze with brown patina. 1. With six ribs, decorated with a faint relief of a nun carrying the cross and male heads around the rim.
2. With four pillars formed as demi-figures of ladies in Classical attire, decorated with fleur de lys, Classical busts, grapes, and feathers. H 7.2 and 7.4, D 10.7 and 10.3 cm, weight c. 2.1 kg.
