Two Meissen porcelain figures of children as nodding pagodes

Finely painted models of striding children wearing cabbage leaves on their heads, depicted on earth mound bases applied with flowers and foliage. Mounted in metal. Smoothed bases, one figure with crossed swords mark, the second without the staff with blue crossed swords mark on the back of the base. The cabbage leaves, staff and chips to the hems of the garments restored. H with staff 22, without H 21.3 cm.
1749/50, models by Johann Joachim Kaendler and Friedrich Elias Meyer.
