An Ayutthaya-style bronze figure of a standing Buddha. 19th/20th century

Standing upright, the right hand raised in abhayamudra, the left hanging down, spreading the robe, under the tight-fitting uttarasangha covering both shoulders, the nipples, a subtly modelled body and the middle and belly folds of the lower robe are clearly visible, head and ushnisha are covered by small curls, a flame ornament atop the ushnisha. A fine yellowish bronze patina without any signs of black lacquer coating. Mounted.
