An ivory and lacquer netsuke of Kiyohime. Late 19th century

Kiyohime has changed into a Hannya with long hair and climbs over the Dôjôji bell, a long striker in her hand, she wears elaborate robes with various patterns, in makie including uroko. The hair is lacquered lack, the bell covered with sabiji lacquer suggesting metal.
