An ivory netsuke of a friendly Hotei. Early 19th century

Seated, the left hand placed on his raised leg, and a karako with a stiff fan seated on his shoulder and holding on to Hotei’s bald head. Hotei’s garment crosshatched and stained with black ink for effect. Inscribed Tomotada in a rectangular reserve.
