A wood netsuke of Fukurokuju as a minogame. 19th century

Lying on his stomach, Fukurokuju mimics a tortoise by pulling a cloth with a shokko pattern over his back to look like a carapace, the opposite end tied into a knot resembling the kames’s tail. The pate engraved with the kame’s eyes and mouth. Inlaid mother-of-pearl tablet with an illegible signature.
