A Tokyo school stained and inlaid ivory netsuke of Ebisu, by Yasutaka. Late 19th century.

Climbing over a large sea bream (tai) and wearing trousers (kukuri hakama) and a garment whose long sleeves are bound together with a tasuki band displaying prominent stitches. The kosode stained green with inlaid patterns, the eye of the fish of mother-of-pearl and wood. Signed Yasutaka on an inlaid light brown tablet.
