An unusual boxwood manjû-type netsuke of the heads of the Seven Gods of Good Luck, by Hôkei. Mid-19th century

To the front the heads of Ebisu, Hotei, Benten and Bishamonten arranged in a circle, on the reverse the heads of Jurôjin, Fukurokuju and Daikoku arranged around the central cord hole. Signed Hôkei on an inlaid ivory tablet.
