A fine Kyoto school ivory netsuke of a shishi and young. Late 18th century

Recumbent with mouth wide open and a loose ball inside, with bushy mane and tale, the vivacious young shishi climbing over the parent’s back. The eye pupils of the large animal of light brown horn.
