An ivory netsuke of tengu no tamagu, by Kiyofusa. Second half 19th century

The karasu tengu with a tiny cap on its head hatches from an egg, the tengu’s feet visible in the opening at the base of the egg shell. The cap and the eye pupils of black glass. Signed Kiyofusa.
