A very fine Kyoto school Mitsuharu-style ivory netsuke of a shishi with a ball. Late 18th century

A shishi sits on his tail with a ball between his paws, the large head turned backwards, the wide-open mouth with a large loose ball inside, and a bushy mane. The eye pupils of black horn (one missing).
