A good ivory netsuke of a recumbent ox and herd boy. Early 19th century

Lying with legs folded beneath and head turned to the right, the long rope trailing over the length of its back, with a boy standing beside the animal and grabbing at the thick rope encircling the head, the boys basket behind the ox. The animal’s eye pupils of brown horn.
Height 2.9 cm; length 5.5 cm
