A wood netsuke of Fukurokuju, by Ryûgyoku. Mid-19th century
His legless body and head covered by a robe with an incised asa-no-ha pattern, which gives him the appearance of a Daruma roly-poly-doll. Signed Ryûgyoku and seal inlaid in bone.
